Persepolis

While after the first two readings of persepolis, I find myself very bored. I am not a big fan of graphic novels. Frankly I think the whole first revolution of iran reminds me of the dirty war in Argentina. Where they killed and tortured everyone who went againts the government. I am not a fan of persepolis as of right now. I hope it will get better. Now it seems very emo and sad. I hate sad books and emo books. The only find interesting is how the daughter will believe what anyone says to her. She is so gulable and doesnt have any personal beliefs.

  1. Since i already finished the book, I can definitely say it is worth it to keep reading. I have never read a graphic novel before and I don't really like the formatting easier, but for this story it helps us understand Iran better because we were all pretty unfamiliar with the situation. It's definitely like La Guerra Sucia though because so many people disappeared and were executed.

  2. I have to disagree with you Michael, I am very much enjoying the book and learning about the horrors that the citizens in Iran had to suffer through while revolting. I was facinated by the torture that the people hade to go through and horrified, but it was very interesting. I think that if you keep reading and thinking about how horrible these people have it, you will enjoy it better.
